Why fondub is a perl script ?

Firstly, perl script is easy to hack. You do not need the knowledge on GUI.

Secondly, it provides better configuration and version control if you not use GUI.

GUI is the friend of beginners. Yes, it is right. But GUI is much slower to manipulate than CUI. Moreover, it causes miss operation when you pull-down et.al.

You cannot see all configurations in one screen, so overlook something. The version control of configuration file is also difficult.

It is also bad to load the configuration file in using GUI. I forgot the operation itself or miss-operate it sometimes. The use of GUI causes the error. So you should not use GUI.

fondub is a perl script, that is, text file. It loads the template files and generate configuration for avisynth and nandub et.al. It is better contorollable. Using the same parameters is ensured always.
